About Dr. Fox
Dr.Fox graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Service Administration from the University of Central Florida in 2006. Following his undergraduate degree, Dr. Fox attended Florida International University in Miami, Florida where he was recognized with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2010.
In March 2013, Dr. Fox successfully became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). This award is the highest offered by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) to those who demonstrate exceptional proficiency in the care and management of orthopedic injuries. In order to pass one’s board certification, clinicians are required to complete extensive hours of training in the area of orthopedics. The additional training ensures a comprehensive knowledge of orthopedic and musculoskeletal dysfunction, with a focus on the most up-to-date understanding of orthopedic surgical interventions and rehabilitation.
Following his post-graduate studies, Dr. Fox earned a Certified in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) through the Ola Grimsby Institute (OGI). The uniqueness of the OGI’s Certification program lies in the combination of advanced, hands-on training and classroom study. In addition to gaining this sought-after designation, Dr. Fox completed various continuing education courses including Therapeutic Techniques for Sports Medicine, Muscle Energy Techniques, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) using the Graston Technique.
Following four years of service working for a national physical therapy center near his home in South Florida, Dr. Fox set off to build his dream of opening a clinic of his own, and so Fox Physical Therapy was born in the fall of 2014.
During his personal life, Dr. Fox enjoys hobby’s that include golfing, basketball, boating, and spending time with friends and family.
