Dr. Brooks has been interested in sports since a young age, being a three-sport athlete his whole childhood until injuries moved him to the sidelines. Having undergone three surgeries in 2 years of entering high school, he frequently found himself as a patient in physical therapy, leading to his desire to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. During his final clinical rotation as a student, he spent 16 weeks treating both professional and recreational athletes, helping them get back to their prior level of pain-free performance. Dr. Brooks’ treatment style is catered to each patient’s needs, utilizing manual therapy techniques as necessary to improve mobility and pain, followed by an exercise to improve strength and functional mobility.
He enjoys spending his free time relaxing with friends and family at the beach, working out, and watching/playing sports. He recently got into golfing and will gladly accept any advice to improve his game. Dr. Brooks plans to pursue certifications in strength and conditioning and dry needling and become board certified sports specialist (SCS).
