Dr. Ryan Johnson

Driven by a passion for accelerating athletes’ recovery, Dr. Johnson’s interests are maximizing patient recovery and bridging the gap between recovery and performance. His commitment to excellence is further showcased by his previous roles including working both the NFL combine and NFL off-season, and the University of Miami Football team.

Education is a cornerstone of Dr. Johnson’s professional journey. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Miami. His academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Chemistry from the University of Washington and is also a published cancer researcher at Oregon’s Health Science University. Dr. Johnson’s commitment to the field extends beyond clinical practice, as evidenced by his leadership roles and involvement in professional organizations. Serving as an Early Career Professional for the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy for Florida, and Founder/President of the University of Miami Sports SIG educating 88 doctoral students.

His affiliations and awards, such as the University of Miami Graduate School Diversity Advocate Award Nominee, AASPT Member, APTA Member, NSCA Member, and numerous scholarships, underscore his commitment to academic excellence and diversity. Dr. Johnson’s multifaceted expertise, from clinical practice to education and research, positions him as a dynamic and influential professional in the field of physical therapy and sports performance.
