Denver born and raised, Iris moved to Miami following her graduation from the University of Denver (DU) where she earned her B.A. in Biology & B.A. in Spanish with a minor in Human Health. During undergrad, she focused on initiatives such as the Peer Health Exchange, volunteered with DU’s COIVD-19 Spit Lab, and collaborated with Denver Public Schools to create sexual education handbooks. She is currently attending Florida International University where she will graduate with her Healthcare Masters in Business Administration in December 2025. Iris has always had a deep passion in the health and wellness field, starting her already 10 year career as a martial arts instructor. She loves working in healthcare because of the connection you make with your community and seeing through and celebrating health accomplishments.
In her free time, she enjoys getting outdoors, a challenging workout, and grabbing a good bite to eat. She loves to practice yoga regularly, and you can find her sitting at the beach reading or spending time with loved ones.
