About Dr. Wolters
Dr. Max Wolters DPT, CSCS graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, garnering experience in sports performance through the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He then graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University where he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). While earning his graduate degree, Dr. Wolters became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) to better prescribe therapeutic exercise and blend therapy with functional performance.
Dr. Wolters’ background with NFL strength and conditioning, as well as those with neurodegenerative diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease, helps place an emphasis on specificity in the treatment to each individual. Dr. Wolters implements functional range conditioning, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular re-education techniques to best address each patient’s impairments and the root of the problem. He abides by an approach of education and self-empowerment for patients to use these very same principles to become independent and self-sufficient in their journeys of life.
Dr. Wolters’ hobbies include reading, powerlifting, and spending time with family and friends.
